It seems the better things get, the less I blog.

I am now looking forward to a baby boy in March and a change at work could round off my professional skill set.

I have spent the majority of this week deciding on where to begin a rather large project at work.

Can it be the Summer time aromas of tanning lotion and thick, heavy southern heat that completely remove all my will power...? Even my school work is taking a backseat for the cost of a natural tendency to lay around and eat ice popsicles until i have small incisions on the sides of my mouth from the plastic.

My recent engagement with my lovely fiance' is pulling together on it's own. I can not equate my attention span to this exciting transition in my life. I am truly happy about how well this is going...

Sometimes I feel that my peripheral work-work is preventing the creative process. I can not focus on the matters at hand with the fluttering of other work issues queuing themselves in my Inbox.

oh well, push on and push hard....

motivation...

It seems as hard as I look, the less I find any music worth adding to my collection. After about 2 hours everything blends together and all sounds the same as if no distinct sound can be deciphered. iTunes is the worst place to find new music...the Genius module is a joke. It seems the music selection preferences are driven by the same people who call 50+ times to vote for the hack singer on American Idol. It's all watered down and being fed to me in waves of glossy Web 2.0 buttons with no order. No reason. Beh!

I wonder if the copyfight issues are making the music industry buy into any nut job with a bass beat and starchy guitar chords.

To top it all off, music is very important to my process. It allows me to focus and keeps my heart pumping. If the good artists are so hard to find, how do I filter the enourmous amount of unoriginal sounds hitting the industry...

discovery, creating a brand...

I believe I have found a new direction for myself. One that harnesses my self promotional ability with my knowledge of the web. When I mention knowledge of the web I mean it in a functionality meets purposefulness kind of way.

With the past 4 years spent scouring the modern internet, my resourcefulness and techniques have earned a merit badge in info-seeking, online marketing strategies and concise search methods. All self taught, all raw... All from digging into the streams of data by hand.

I will begin looking into ways to sharpen these "raw" talents and blend them with my the development methodologies.

As if the Windows Startup chimes on my desktop, I ring in the new blog with a short blip of what is to come.

I would like to examine my work and observations in my life with a case by case blog. I want to break apart and find the details that make things work and scour them for more knowledge.
